We have successfully completed this year’s course on Computer Literacy, Programming with Scratch and Computational Thinking.

 

33 students graduated from our program this year, out of which 21 were female students and 12 were male students. We have doubled the number of graduates this year. Yay!

 

And it’s amazing that we were able to encourage even more female students this time. Yay again!

 

Out of the 33 graduates, 8 students were from lower secondary level (grades 5, 6, 7) from Shree Chandeshwari Secondary School, Tokha. The remaining 25 students were from higher secondary level (grade 11) from Shree Saraswati Secondary School, Tokha.

 

8 students among the students of the senior group have already dived into the basics of Python programming. They have shown interest and potential in pursuing a programming related degree in Bachelors. So they will continue to engage with Code Chautari for pre-advanced programming where they will be guided through a course by Harvard University to develop their potential and be prepared in pursuing programming in Bachelor’s.

 

This wouldn’t have been possible with the support from NDC Conferences . We are extremely grateful for coming along so far in this journey of Code Chautari in empowering the kids from public schools of Nepal.
